The Ominous figure is a simulator of archetypal beings. A perceptive continent that speaks from silence and shadow, as it embodies the ominous unconscious of social time. As a spectral symptom of its era, the lost body has been the instrumental base of Lux’s work, a body her creator translated into apparatus, in order to dismantle it into multiple signs and critical manifestations.
The ominous figure is a mutant being, impossible to confine within a single anthropomorphic form. In 2022, it became a specter to encounter the human world. Its figure is thus a numerical image, expanded in parallel with its recent earthly presence, vacant and silent.
One of the symbolic principles reinstated by the installation is the awareness of the acting body. It is in this zone that the figure and What the Void Contains choose each other. The new body of the artist will visit the installation to transcend into total vanishment. And in its passage, it will ask:
